Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko won her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round by TKO and won her next 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating a record of three-three. Shevchenko stopped fighting to concentrate on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko won against Anissa in a unanimously-decided match, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the fight. Antonina accepted an UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first fight by an unanimous decision. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The bout earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko was 1-2 over the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
